St Mary’s have been hard at work looking at how they can raise some money for CAFOD, and they had huge success!
For this school, their Lenten Market is one of the most significant fundraising events on the school calender. The events are planned and ran by their Mini Vinnies, and this year, they decided to combine fundraising and enterprise all in one to allow the students to get creative and think outside the box.
The plan was as follows: each class were given an allowance of £10, and with that money, they were to purchase any consumables. These would then be used to hopefully generate a profit, and the proceeds would go to CAFOD. Just before half term, Jeremy Cain visited the school where the students presented to him a cheque of an impressive £855 – their hard work really did pay off!
There a lots and lots of fundraising ideas on our CAFOD website, so get involved and see how creative you can be!
