All Saints Support Migrant Crisis

The Justice & Peace group at All Saints Church has been participating in a weekly self-denial group and making weekly donations to CAFOD. Overall the group has managed to donate a sizable donation of £1600, hoping to share this money to migrants throughout Europe and camps bordering Syria.

Edith Robinson, the treasurer of the group, stated that the growing refugee crisis ‘touched all our hearts and consciences’ and they hoped to direct all donations to this issue.

The Justice & Peace group, based in Ferryhill, has a history of making substantial donations, directing previous donations to Bangladesh. They were able to send up to £2000 a year and when they found out that CAFOD had no current projects in Bangladesh, they were eager to find a new location to direct their donations.

The group intends to continue making donations towards the crisis.

CAFOD are extremely grateful for these donations.
